Illustration Introduction
Welcome! If you've made it to this page, you're interested in the illustrative side of my artwork. I began illustrating children's books in 2023 and have continued to focus most of my energy in this space. I look forward to finding ways to ignite young imaginations and bring stories to life in magical ways. My illustrations are simple and charming. The same color that defines my physical pieces often finds its way into my illustrations and is evident as the reader remarks on journeys through deep oceans, brushes their teeth with hippopotamuses, or make pizza with a big grizzly bear. With each illustration I hope to not only captivate young hearts, but to help foster a love for reading (and maybe even ignite a spark of creativity, too!). I also do not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) in any of my work and I will not work from AI concept pieces provided by the author or publisher.

With Artificial Intelligence (AI) so easily accessible, many people turn to technology to create illustrations. AI illustrations are based off of plagiarized (stolen) work and they should not be used when illustrating your story. Your illustrator should be able to provide you with unique sketches, progress pictures or videos, and a final and consistent product.

The commissioning process typically involves initial discussions to establish project requirements and goals, followed by concept development, sketching, revisions, and final artwork production. I work closely with clients at every stage to ensure that the illustrations meet their expectations per the agreements in our contract.
